“Learning Vietnamese with Huong was a delightful and effective experience: her very well structured method allowed for an incremental learning process tailor-made for your own pace availability. Her linguistic skills allowed for fast effective results throughout a light, joyful and interesting learning atmosphere. With a solid linguistic background and basis it also reached a deeper understanding of Vietnamese mindset and philosophy of living and being in the world, from its ancestral roots to its most modern times looking into an ever brightest future. Learning Vietnamese with Huong allowed me to not only know a new language but to a better understanding of the Vietnamese people and its fascinating culture. Vietnamese is the 8th language I have started learning, by now I know how it feels like to enjoy the magic of being guided by a magnificent language master. Learning Vietnamese with Huong is not only an worthfully academic process, but a fulfillment feeling as every class leaves you with a sentiment of accomplishment and the wish to keep advancing. I absolutely recommend Huong and her teaching methodology of the Vietnamese language. If you engage with Huong you will enjoy the privilege to access a beautiful language, a millennial culture and a thoughtful master all at once.”

"Huong is a fantastic Vietnamese teacher. Her extensive background in foreign language means that she was able to quickly assess my level and learning style, and tailor our lessons accordingly. She intimately understands the process of learning languages, being fluent in 3 languages herself. Her lessons blend a mix of all critical language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing. But what really makes Huong stand out relative to other Vietnamese teachers is her passion for teaching Vietnamese and her commitment to her students. She goes above and beyond to develop individualized lessons that push and challenge me, but all the while ensuring classes are fun and engaging. I would recommend Huong without reservation to anyone looking for a first-class Vietnamese learning experience! "

“When I first landed in Vietnam and told friends here that I was learning Vietnamese most of them recounted that they too had tried and given up. I was fortunate to be referred to Huong by a colleague and I am extremely happy to say that it’s almost two years now and I still enjoy meeting with Huong to learn Vietnamese. Huong is great at tailoring the lesson to suit different learners and her own experience in learning different languages helps tremendously as she always teaches from the lens of a person learning a new language. For me, our lessons are like conversations between friends, it may appear fluid and unstructured to some but it’s really effective for me because real people don’t have scripted conversations like what one may find in language textbooks.”

“Studying with Huong is such an enriching experience, and it makes living in Hanoi that much more enjoyable. In a very short amount of time, I have seen noticeable outcomes around my ability to speak and be understood, as well as being able to carry out basic conversations that I need in my day-to-day living.
The best words I can use to describe Huong's approach are practical and useful. She dispenses with a lot of the formal, out-of-date language that real Vietnamese people don't really use in their everyday life. I find that people are always a little surprised at the phrases I use because they're so authentically Vietnamese, and I love that. Her targeted lessons equip you with the tools you need and remove the distractions you don't.
On a personal level, Huong is a brilliant person, a great teacher, and an accomplished linguist. Her international views and worldly sensibilities are a rare find. Her expectations are high, but it's because she also comes to the table with high expectations of herself. And besides, having a teacher who sets the bar high for you is a crucial part of achieving your goals.
Most importantly, I have fun during my lessons, and I always look forward to them. Sometimes living in Hanoi is a bewildering experience, but with each passing week, thanks to Huong, I feel like I'm on more solid footing here."

"Ms. Hương has been my Vietnamese teacher in a 100-hour course and, without a doubt, she is an excellent, committed, high-level teacher who applies an effective and strategic pedagogical approach, allowing Western students to achieve pragmatic linguistic skills to comfortably communicate in many aspects of daily life, which - in my case - has significantly improved my quality of life in Hanoi. Furthermore, Ms. Hương is open to her students' requests and needs, that's how she has taught me useful vocabulary to apply in my daily work, thus significantly improving my professional performance in Vietnam. Moreover, Ms. Hương knows very well the main obstacles when learning a language as complex and difficult as Vietnamese and has always been patient with my learning process. Last but not least, Ms. Hương combines solid knowledge and professionalism with a friendly, willing and very kind personality, which makes the process of studying Vietnamese highly enjoyable."

"Huong is one of the most versatile language instructors I've had pleasure to learn from. Her communication is informal and open, making her classes fully enjoyable and flowing with ease, yet she always stays professional. She adapts the learning content to each student's specific needs and learning style as well as learning at a pace that you feel comfortable with. However, she insists on constantly pushing my limits a bit further, which I greatly appreciate and which has made me come much further than I've expected. I've tremendously enjoyed her classes. Huong has a great understanding of languages in general, speaking Mandarin and English fluently on top of constantly learning some new language (currently Spanish). Being a language student herself gives her insight of both worlds and enables her to understand what are the specific obstacles for a student who is a native English/Spanish speaker versus someone with a completely unique mother tongue, like me. She has an ability to make even the shiest student encouraged during the whole learning process and to inject confidence in speaking just within a couple of lessons, not to mention after years of studying. I would recommend taking her class to anyone to experience it yourself first hand!"
